Hi! We are Terry and Alana. Welcome to Tone en Tone, a do-it-yourself website where we show you the process of our home renovations here in the city of St. Albert, one step-by-step project at a time!
We live by the idea that all the rundown used up properties and items that we own can be given a new life and ability to shine and be beautiful. Terry and I buy neglected homes and turn them into something beautiful with the help of youtube and google and if we can do it. You can too. A little about Alana: My love for DIY style started at a young age with an obsession for design magazines, websites and of course HGTV. Home decorating wasn’t something I could afford to hire out, so I began to upcycle and reuse the decor that we got from thrift stores or friends, and embellish my own versions. I started taking pictures of and documenting the DIY steps and here we are.
My husband and I now manage our two Airbnbs in and around St. Albert, work on projects, thrift for decor, and document the whole process for you all at @toneentone on Instagram and right here on Toneentone.com!
A little about Terry: Some of my first jobs I ever had were in construction. From roofing to framing, siding and installations I learned the basics of how a house is put together so now I can take them apart with confidence and rebuild them according to the vision of my wife Alana. I am learning new things about this crazy journey every day and loving every moment of it.
